Attendance, Injury, & Illness

ATTENDANCE - Regular attendance is essential for progress. Excessive absences may affect class placement or performance eligibility.

REPORTING AN ABSENCE - If you know your dancer will not be attending class, please inform the studio in advance. This allows for staff to properly plan for class.

CLASS OBSERVATION - Before reporting your student absent, consider if observing class may be a better option. If your dancer is ill with a contagious virus, we ask that you keep them home for the wellness of the class. If your dancer is absent for injury or other reasons that would allow them to observe, we encourage observation so that they can stay up to date with choreography and class progressions.

TARDIES - If a dancer is more than 10 minutes late to class, that dancer will be asked to sit and observe class. This is to ensure the dancers safety as they have missed the warm-up and are at risk of injury. If a student is tardy more than 3 times, they will have been considered absent for a day.

INJURY - Please notify the studio of an injury, whether it occurred inside or outside of class. Injured dancers are encouraged to attend class and observe, when able, to stay current with choreography and instruction. Any dancer returning from a significant injury must provide written medical clearance before participating full in class again. Teachers may modify choreography or class expectations to accommodate healing and prevent re-injury.

ILLNESS - Dancers should stay home if they are experiencing symptoms of illness such as:

Fever
Vomiting or diarrhea
Persistent cough, sore throat, or difficulty breathing
Unexplained rash or contagious conditions

Dancers must be fever-free without medication for at least 24 hours before returning to class. If a student becomes ill during class, a parent of guardian will be contacted for early pickup.

EMERGENCY CONTACT - Please ensure that contact and emergency information is up to date in the parent portal incase we need to reach a parent quickly.

Tuition and Payments

REGISTRATION - Classes start in September on the Monday following Labor Day, and end with an annual recital in June. A $35.00 registration fee (only one per family) will be collected to reserve your child's spot and for a yearly administration fee.

TUITION - Tuition is billed monthly and due by the 1st of each month. The default payment method is auto-pay, where we will charge the card saved on file in your parent portal. Tuition will automatically be charged on the 1st of the month unless that falls on a Sunday, in which case tuition will be charged on the 2nd. If you would not like your account to be set to auto-pay, please notify the front desk before the 1st to avoid being charged.

LATE FEES - A late fee of $25 will be applied to an account each month that there is a past due balance. An account is considered past due after a 10-day grace period. Students will not be allowed to attend class after the 15th of the month until your payment has been received. Additionally, student’s will not be permitted to participate in the annual dance recital or other events if there is any outstanding balance at the time of the performance.

NON-REFUNDABLE FEES - All registration, costumes, and competition fees (if applicable) are non-refundable. Costumes may only be refunded if a student drops prior to December 1st. Competition fees will only be refunded in the event of an injury (dependent on competitions refund policy.)

PAYMENT METHODS - Parents can pay online by accessing the “Parent Portal” tab on the website and logging in to their portal. We accept credit card payments and e-checks/ACH through the portal. You may also choose to pay by check or cash by dropping it in the mailbox located inside the studio by the front door. If choosing to pay by cash or check, please be sure to include your name and what the payment is intended for.

RECITAL COSTUME FEE DUE DATE - All costumes must be paid in full by November 1st. If the balance is not paid, costumes will not be ordered. We order costumes very early in the year due to a slow production/delivery time. Most costumes are made to order and cannot be ordered late. We will not order partial classes due to costumes becoming unavailable when materials are out of stock. For this reason, anyone who has not paid for their costume on time will not be allowed to participate in the recital. To see updated costume fees, please visit our "Tuition and Fees" page.

Recital costumes can only be refunded IF the costume has not yet been ordered. If you decide not to participate in the recital after costumes have been ordered, you are welcome to still come pick up the costume.

MEDIA FEE - A $40 mandatory media fee will be charged to all families with the June 1st tuition. With this media fee, families will receive class photos and a digital download of the recital video.
